The York Center Fire Protection District is seeking Part-Time Fire Inspectors to work in a functional cooperation between the District and the Village of Oak Brook. The Part-Time Fire Prevention Inspectors are allowed to work 19-hours per week for the District.
Under the direction of the fire chief and supervision of the Fire Marshal, essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Requires a valid Illinois Driver’s License, and excellent communication and writing skills. Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal Fire Prevention Officer 1 is also a requirement for this position.

- Conduct and/or assist with various types of inspections including certificate of occupancies life safety, public event, special process, hazard mitigation, fire protection equipment and systems and other inspections as needed.
Requires a valid Illinois Driver’s License, and excellent communication and writing skills. Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal Fire Prevention Officer 1 is also a requirement for this position.
- Starting pay rate is: $31.05 per hour
- Earn Paid-Time Off Hours (P.T.O.)
